"For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God." (1 Peter 1:23)
Activity Night
- This group holds fellowship activities for friends and members of Gloria Dei ages 16-29.
- Our Savior tells us to build each other up. By regular meetings and activities one can keep in contact with brothers and sisters in the faith in order to confess along with Paul "Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." (Ephesians 4:14-16)
Worship
- Worship is held every Sunday and on special festivals and occasions. Refer to the calendar or home page for details.
- There are many opportunities for members to help with each service and to use the gifts God has given to serve others.
- We gather to proclaim the LORD and make him known. We gather as brothers and sisters in Christ to confess our faith and encourage each other. We gather around the Word and Sacraments to grow in faith through God's promises. We also pray, praise, and give thanks. "They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." (Acts 2:42). "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." (Col 3:16-17)
- We gather around the Word because we seek to grow in the knowledge of God. We look forward to Christ's second coming as we continually proclaim and praise God for all mercy and love he has given. We encourage one another to stay strong in the Lord and his mighty power. "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25).
